01Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to Super Abroad EdTech Private Limited ("Super Abroad", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U74999TG2019PTC132210), with its registered office at 5th Floor, Jasti Towers, Sanjeev Reddy Nagar (S.R. Nagar), Hyderabad – 500038, Telangana, India.
We operate PTE Academic and IELTS Academic coaching, an online practice platform with AI-assisted scoring available at learn.superabroad.in, and end-to-end study abroad counselling. This policy covers our websites, the learning platform, and any related products and services (together, the "Services"). We act as the Data Fiduciary / Data Controller for the personal data described here.
This Privacy Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in those Terms.
02Data we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver coaching, run your practice sessions, and support your study abroad journey.
Information you give us
- Account & contact details — name, mobile number, email, and city, provided during WhatsApp OTP registration or enquiry.
- Study profile — target exam, target score, intended destination, academic background, and preferred intake, where you choose to share them.
- Practice submissions — your spoken audio responses and written text answers submitted to our practice tasks for scoring and feedback.
- Payment information — processed by our payment partners; we receive confirmation of the transaction but do not store full card details.
- Study abroad documents — where you engage our counselling, documents such as transcripts, statements of purpose, and identity or visa-related information you provide.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, practice attempts, scores, and progress over time.
- Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, and approximate location.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see Cookies below.
03How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Create and manage your account and verify you via WhatsApp OTP.
- Deliver practice tests and generate AI-assisted scores and feedback on your speaking and writing.
- Track your progress and provide a personalised readiness estimate and target-score modules.
- Provide PTE / IELTS coaching and study abroad counselling, including preparing and submitting applications on your behalf where you instruct us to.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions and renewals.
- Send service updates, class schedules, and — with your consent — relevant offers via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
- Improve our platform, calibrate our scoring models, and keep the Services secure.
- Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Scores, band estimates, and readiness results produced by our automated systems are indicative and for practice only. They do not represent, predict, or guarantee your official examination result. See Sections 9 to 11 of our Terms & Conditions for details.
04Legal basis for processing
Depending on where you are located, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Consent — for registration, marketing communications, and processing your practice submissions and study abroad documents.
- Contract — to deliver the coaching, platform access, and counselling you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to improve and secure our Services, provided these do not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
06International transfers
We serve students across many countries, and some of our service providers operate outside India. Where your personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate safeguards and in line with applicable law. If you engage our study abroad services, your application data will necessarily be shared with institutions and authorities in your chosen destination country.
07Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this policy:
- Account and progress data — while your account is active. Any account that remains inactive (with no login) for a continuous period of more than 6 (six) months may be automatically deleted, together with associated data and any unused subscriptions or test packs, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
- Practice submissions — retained to show your history and improve feedback; you may request deletion.
- Financial records — retained as long as required by tax and accounting law.
- Study abroad documents — retained for the duration of your application process and as required to support it.
The platform does not currently offer a self-service option to delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer (see Contact us), and we will action such requests in accordance with applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
08Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encryption in transit, and OTP-based verification — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your rights occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
09Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data where there is no lawful reason to keep it.
- Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity (under the DPDP Act).
- Grievance redressal — raise a concern with us and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

11Children's privacy
Our Services are intended for exam candidates and study abroad applicants. Where a user is a child under the age of 18, we process their data only with verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, as required under the DPDP Act, and we do not carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will address it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or the law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
